Taris Lege_'05

Dear Family and Friends:

I finally received a phone call from Taris Monday evening. She only had 3 minutes to give me her very long address (you will see below) and just a few seconds to tell me how much she hated basic training and wanted to come home. She said she would call me again as soon as she was allowed to.

Please continue to pray for Taris as she is not only dealing with basic training, but has to also deal with this very cold weather (she hates cold weather).

Here is Taris' mailing address if any of you would like to send her a letter or two with words of encouragement. (Put address on envelope exactly as typed)

AB Lege, Taris E.
322 TRS/FLT180 DormB7 PSC#4
1015 Truemper St. Unit 364078
Lackland AFB, TX 78236-6040

VERY STRICT LETTER WRITING INSTRUCTIONS:

Please do not send a post card: Their TI (drill Sgt.) will hold it up and read it out loud and make fun of Taris.
Send letter in an envelope, but DO NOT WRITE ANYTHING ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE ENVELOPE (except her address and your return address). Her TI (drill Sgt.) will read anything written on the outside of the envelope and make fun of Taris.
DO NOT SEND ANY FOOD OR SNACKS!!!! If Taris receives any food or snacks, her TI (drill Sgt..) will distribute the snacks among her other recruits and then make Taris do push ups while the other recruits eat Taris' food or snacks. You can send food or snack anytime after basic training.

So, just a simple letter with your words/scriptures of encouragement would be great, and I know hearing from you will lift her spirits and help her make it through these next 5 weeks she has left. Taris will graduate from basic training on February 23rd.

Thanks for your prayers and for all who helped with her going away party. Thank you Jesus for family, friends, and church family.

Love you all,

Brenda Lege
