
Jane Christensen Walker Brem
Funeral services are set for 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 7, 2009, at Community Baptist Church in Danbury for Jane Christensen Walker Brem, 75, of Angleton.
Burial will follow in the Danbury Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home.
Mrs. Brem passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2009, in M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston.
Jane Christensen Walker Brem was born November 2, 1933, in Clodine, Texas, to Able Bailey and Elsie Jones Christensen and was a lifetime area resident. She graduated Salutatorian at Danbury High School class of 1952 and obtained her Masters Degree in Education from the University of Houston. She taught school for many years. Jane currently was serving as president of Orbit Systems in Rosharon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husbands, Charles Burleigh Walker in 1981 and John Brem in 2007.
Survivors include her children, Charles Walker and wife, Lavinia, of Angleton, Peggy Paul and husband, Ronnie, of Lake Jackson and Jeff Walker and wife, Julie, of Angleton; stepchildren, John Robert Brem Jr. of Friendswood, Robert Brem and wife, Karen, of Lake Jackson and Susan Huggins and husband, James, of Gilmer; brother, A.B. Christensen and wife, Willa Mae, of Danbury; sisters, Pearl Bulanek and husband, Donald Joe, of Danbury, Margaret Rose and husband, Jack, of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Christene Christensen of Danbury; grandchildren, Melissa and Lorena Walker, Sarah Walker Carlock and husband, John, Laura, Lisa and Linda Paul, and Jason and Jodi Walker; stepgrandchildren, Connor Brem, Nicholas and Angelica Brem, Gary Boren and Cyndi and Ricky Huggins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be David Walker, John H. Walker, John H. Walker Jr., Stacy Jamison, Nelson Bulanek, Chris Christensen, Juan Gonzalez and Daniel Jenkins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Rose, Ephraim Kelly, Paul Rhodes, Donald Dixon, Pat Bulanek, Donnie Bulanek, Glen Christensen, Lee Schelly Jr., Billy Davis and Jimmy Davis.
Donations may be made to Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic School in Richwood, Texas.
